This workshop is located at Fireweed Farm, 7159 Wallace Drive in Brentwood Bay

In this workshop you will learn the art of making herbal syrups. Syrups are water-based herbal preparations sweetened with honey or sugar to make them more palatable and extend shelf-life. They are a high-compliance herbal medicine for kids and adults alike. Making a syrup is a great way to preserve a herbal infusion of decoction, and a great alternative to alcohol based extracts such as tincture. A properly prepared herbal syrup can last for many years without refrigeration. During this workshop we will be preparing an all-natural alcohol-free Herbal Cough Syrup with a honey base.
