This workshop takes place at Fireweed Farm ~ 7159 Wallace Drive in Central Saanich

Learn from an experienced herb grower all about growing medicinal herbs suited to our coastal environment. We will discuss growing topics such as best propagation methods, fertilizing, watering, soil-type, mulching, harvesting techniques, seasonal care, overwintering, and container gardening. Learn the growing how-to’s of favourite medicinals such as Valerian, Skullcap, Ashwagandha, Passionflower, Marshmallow, Elecampane, Burdock and many more. Each participant will take home a herb plant seedling/division of their choosing.

Jessy Delleman is a herbalist, herb farmer and medicine maker. She operates a small local organic herb farm and seed business is the founder of Ravenhill Herb Seeds and Miss Mullein’s Herbals. She is a practicing herbalist specializing in herbal medicine for women’s health, and herbs for general health and well being. Jessy has completed formal herbal studies with herbalist Betty Norton, Wild Seed School of Herbal Studies on Salt Spring Island, The School of Evolutionary Herbalism in Washington State, and is continuing her studies with herbalist/midwife Aviva Romm. Jessy is an avid wildcrafter, goatkeeper, and homesteader. She believes in the power of nature to heal.
